We are excited to invite you to the first annual HBCU+ Luncheon presented by The Beachwood Scholars Advisory Network This luncheon will include a keynote address and table discussions with current HBCU students. High school students will have the chance to connect with other students leaders and gain additional insight about HBCUs in an intimate setting. Educators will also have the chance to network amongst each other in order to brainstorm about additional collaborative programming.
Since space is limited please identify 3-5 sophomores or juniors who may want to learn more about attending an HBCU. The cost of this event is $6 per person which includes lunch (please indicate all allergies during registration. Attendees must register for the event by Monday, May 13. Please make all checks payable to Beachwood City Schools.
The program schedule includes:
10:00am – Invited Minority Achievement Programs arrive at Beachwood High School
10:20am – Welcome from Beachwood Minority Achievement Program
10:30am – Keynote Address – Marcus Tarver, NASA Glen Budget Analyst (students will have a chance to ask Marcus questions as well)
10:55am – Transition to luncheon
11:00am – Luncheon and Table Talks (students and educators will have the opportunity to learn more about HBCUs and network)
12:15pm – Closing Remarks, Tiara Sargeant
12:30pm – Invited Minority Achievement Programs leave Beachwood High School
